Little Reverb is available in the following 32 and 64-bit plugin formats: AAX Native, AAX AudioSuite, VST, and Audio Units (AU).įor more information visit Soundtoys website. I have also to mention that, in order to activate this plugin, you will need iLok software (+ free account) installed on your computer. If you don’t have an account there, registration is quick and free, of course. Now the most important thing: Little Reverb is free until November 22, so hurry up and add it to your Soundtoys account. To get started quickly, there are 25 distinct presets included. Little Plate is inspired by the original EMT 140 plate reverb, but Soundtoys has added a couple of fun twists that let you take it to spaces the original hardware only dreamed of. Use the inbuilt Low Cut filter to tame low-frequency build-ups. Therefore, you can create infinite reverb effects that never decay, also take advantage of the optional modulation for natural-sounding variation in the reverb tail. Little Plate lets you insert the sound of vintage plate reverb to your tracks and push beyond the limits of the hardware with extended reverb decay time. As the name suggests, it is a plate reverb plugin, but with a modern twist. Instead of modeling Little Plate from a single hardware unit, apparently Soundtoys collected five vintage EMT 140 plate reverbs to gather inspiration. I'll get around to it eventually, though. For the moment, let’s concentrate on Soundtoys’ new plugin which I will gladly add to my collection – Little Plate. Soundtoys just has a knack for going beyond a straightforward hardware replication, and its my opinion that they are the gold standard for creative effects plug-in development. I did download it, but haven't installed it yet. There are exceptions to freeware, and sometimes a gem becomes available at no charge and it sounds like this might be one of those. I'm happy to hear that you guys like the Little Plate. If for nothing else, they are useful when you actually buy plug ins, and you hear the difference that quality coding makes. a young person on a limited budget, just getting into DAW production. I'm sure they would be useful to a young upstart, though. I'm sure I knew it going in, and that is that free plugs so often sound like they should be free. like TWO plugs out of the 20 or so that I downloaded and tried. Valhalla Reverb, and Limiter 5, which looked like it came off off a 1960's Soviet Submarine, LOL. lol.īut truthfully, I found very few that I thought sounded good. I went through a period when I downloaded and installed some free plugs.
